Hyogo establised the New Industry Research Organization in cooperation with government and industry, and planned the creation of new industry. Hyogo also established Hanshin-Awaji Economic Revitaliztion Organization and challenged to invite companies to Hyogo and foster venture companies. [1995 - 2005]
Futhermore, Hyogo developed research and development base for advanced medical technology in Port Island in Kobe and has been promoting the "Kobe Medical Industry Development Project". [1998 started]
